Volunteers

The Spring’s staff team is supported by a group of nearly 100 volunteers, without whom our work would not be possible.

Volunteering can be an excellent way of gaining on-the-job arts experience, meeting new people and getting involved with The Spring.

 Volunteers - Kenwood Project

We will be recording the memories of Kenwood workers past and present over the next few months and featuring the stories in an exhibition, book and film. We have around 50 contacts we need to interview and need some volunteers to carry out oral history interviews with individuals and then transcribe them. We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds and are happy for people to commit as much time as they would like – there is no minimum expectation.

Havant  Arts Active - Chair of the Board

Havant Arts Active is the trading subsidiary of The Spring Arts & Hertiage Centre. It is a company limited by guarantee (no. 02181888) and encompasses the commercial activities of The Spring’s licensed café, bar and gift shop.

The company is a key contributor to The Spring. It provides a high quality service to our visitors, helping to add to the experience provided by the venue. It is also an important income generator for the charity as all profits are transferred annually to the charity, thereby helping the organisation continue to deliver its cultural work across Havant Borough.

Havant Arts Active has a turnover of around £150,000.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Chair to work with the team to ensure the successful development of the trading subsidiary.
