 Finance Trustee

We need a new Finance Trustee to work with the board and staff on the financial management and health of the organisation.

The Finance Trustee will work closely with the Director and Finance Manager to advise on all financial matters to support The Spring and its trading subsidiary Havant Arts Active.

The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre has a turnover of between £500,000 and £600,000 a year. We receive grants from Hampshire County Council, Havant Borough Council and from trusts and foundations. From April 2018 we will be joining Arts Council England’s National Portfolio, receiving new investment of £120,000 each year until 2021/22. In addition to our grants we generate income through ticket sales, trading activities and room hires, plus fundraising activities. Our mixed portfolio of funds requires careful management to ensure we are working effectively for the public and building resilience for the future.

Volunteers

The Spring’s staff team is supported by a group of nearly 100 volunteers, without whom our work would not be possible.

Volunteering can be an excellent way of gaining on-the-job arts experience, meeting new people and getting involved with The Spring.
