What a year

What a year

Here we are, coming towards the end of a rollercoaster year. 2020 hasn’t been what any of us had expected or planned but we hope that our ongoing activities and weekly emails have kept you entertained and been something of a tonic in a difficult time.

Although we haven’t been able to present lots of our usual events and activities this year we have loved trying new things and making the most of new opportunities where we have found them. From streaming digital performances to our special free Christmas projects, we have been driven by the need to reach out and connect with our community. We will continue to do all we can to keep culture, performance and joyful experiences alive and well in Havant and the region next year – whatever the world throws at us.

As Havant is now in Tier 4, we will be closed until further notice but we wanted to leave you with a little snapshot of our two Christmas projects this year.

The Enchanted Snow Globe

Last week our wonderful operations team transformed our Mezzanine Gallery and we welcomed the Snow Queen for The Enchanted Snow Globe experience. We were so glad to welcome over 1000 people to this free event and spread a bit of Christmas cheer.

Christmas Calls

We have been busy with our Christmas Calls project, celebrating the season with personalised poems created for people nominated by friends and family.

Here Arji delivers one of the poems as part of the project to Carole White.
