The café is open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 3pm.
Hot food is available until 2.30pm.

The FB Pocket Orchestra
Our favourite blues, ragtime and hot jazz band are back for open rehearsals in the café. These informal acoustic sessions give the band an invaluable chance to try new pieces and practise their favourites from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Come and listen for free. No tickets are required.

Tuesdays from 10am
We’ll be using delicious sweet treats and local, seasonal fruits to make a delicious new cheesecake each week. Get them before they’ve gone!
Wednesdays from 10am
Help us celebrate our tenth anniversary by decorating birthday cupcakes to eat immediately or take home to share with family and friends. Cupcakes can be purchased from the café and a table of special treats and decorations will be available for you to make them look really special.

Cream Tea Special
Our delicious homemade scones are back every Thursday as part of our special cream tea offer. Enjoy a cup of tea or filter coffee alongside a homemade scone with jam and fresh clotted cream for only £4. Or try one our savoury cream teas with cheese scone and apple chutney.
Fridays from 10am
It’s Nearly Sundae
We’re celebrating our friends at Northney Dairy by using their delicious ice-creams as the basis for some tasty treats. We’ll be using fruit, sauces and more to create some really special sundaes…. every Friday.

August Music Bites
Music Bites are free informal performances in our café. Come along to hear music from local performers whilst enjoying a delicious lunch or drink.
3 August: Pleasantville
Pleasantville return to The Spring with their blend of original material, country covers, blues standards and occasional off-the-wall surprises
10 August: Tim Cheatle
Guitarist and composer Tim Cheatle has performed at festivals including the London Guitar Festival, Celtic Connections, InTheCity Manchester and the Victorious Festival in Portsmouth.
17 August: The Infinity Sessions featuring Nathan
Music Fusion is all about collaboration and this event is no exception. The Infinity Sessions are a weekly all-female group that get together to write and record songs as well as socialise and share experiences. Nathan has been a keen Rockschool attendee and has released original material with his band TESS. For Music Bites, Nathan and a few of the Infinity team will be performing heartfelt covers and originals, for fans of laid-back acoustic music.
24 August: John Meriton
Observer of life and teller of stories, John is a singer/songwriter from Emsworth, whose songs tell life as he sees it; real people, places, emotions and experiences.
31 August: Improv Jazz
If you like your Jazz as standards and enjoy tapping your feet and snapping your fingers, then come and listen to Impro Jazz. A group of amateur musicians living in the South of Hampshire who enjoy playing the melodies you know and love.
And Every Day
Every day throughout August we’ll be offering an enhanced children’s menu including scrambled eggs, beans on toast and homemade sausage rolls, served with beans or veg sticks. Kids lunchboxes will also be available for only £3.50 each and contain a carton of drink, half a sandwich, a packet of crisps, cake bar and cherry tomatoes.
Northney Ice Cream is available to buy at the café. We will also be offering a selection of delicious smoothies, milkshakes and homemade lemonade to help keep you cool over the summer.
Don’t forget most of our food and drink is available to take away in recyclable packaging and we’re part of the Water Refill Scheme, making us the perfect stop off before your walk down the Hayling Billy trail or your trip to the beach.

Bumper Beach Book Sale
Come, find and purchase a good read for your holiday or just for pleasure at home. Second hand books, a range of fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and DVDs, will be available to buy in our gallery from 1 July until the beginning of September at very reasonable prices.
If you have any unwanted books or DVDs you’d like to donate please drop them in to us from the beginning of June. All monies from the book sale go directly towards The Spring (Registered Charity 297353) and our work.
