Heritage and visual art exhibitions are an important part of The Spring’s work.
We show a year round programme of work encompassing specific displays focusing on heritage subjects, alongside visual art by professional, emerging and community talent.
Every year the programme includes:
- 2 heritage themed exhibitions
- 1 community exhibition
- 1 exhibition for families
- 1 exhibition by a professional artist
These exhibitions take place primarily in the Upper Mezzanine of the museum, but can also sometimes be found in the Sadler and Theatre Galleries.
We also show a year round exhibition of Local Collection Displays. Local Collection cabinets are found in our Sadler Gallery and feature artefacts, collections and exhibitions that relate to local history, have been owned by a local resident, or are linked to an area of our work.
