Updated Public Statement on Coronavirus16 March 2020
We are following government guidelines and advice carefully. It is our current intention to remain open and to continue to deliver our usual programme of events and activities.
We are aware that some of our visitors are worried about recent reports about the Coronavirus. You may be considering not coming along to events or activities to reduce the risk of catching or spreading the virus.
We want everyone who visits The Spring to have an enjoyable and safe experience. To try to reduce the risks associated with the current situation we are undertaking a new hourly cleaning regime and are encouraging our staff and visitors to follow guidelines around handwashing and hygiene. Where possible we will make hand sanitizer available (although currently our order placed over two weeks ago has been unable to be delivered).
Whilst we appreciate that some people may choose not to attend due to risks associated with the outbreak, we plan to continue as usual. We are therefore unable to offer refunds to the majority of ticket holders at this time. Tickets may be returned for exchange or re-sale if we are able to re-sell them.
We understand that many people who work for the NHS may be very busy or choosing to self-isolate as much as possible in order to ensure they are in the best position to help others. We are prepared to offer refunds on tickets to NHS workers in these instances. Please contact the box office for further information.
In some cases, artists or performers may make the decision to postpone or cancel their performances at The Spring. In these instanced we will be in touch to let you know the situation and offer refunds or exchanges.
We ask our visitors to follow sensible precautions and to follow current advice from the government and NHS, including staying at home if you develop a cough or fever.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this statement if anything changes. Many thanks for your understanding and for continuing to support The Spring at a time which could be very challenging for us.
