An opportunity for those who have a passion for portrait work to spend a day working from a female model. You can choose either to select your own colours or follow the tutor’s challenge to work with ‘warm on warm’ colours. Throughout the day, Heather will provide one to one time with each participant to help you get the most out of the day.

This course will break the ice for anyone wanting to start watercolours, whether you are a complete novice or if you have enjoyed other mediums and are looking for a change.

In this session, you will learn how to create a figurative painting using oils. Prior knowledge of drawing the human figure is preferable as this workshop is intended for intermediate and advanced artists.
Your tutor will guide you on colour use and how to develop the painting through stages and you will explore how to use essential components to create a good composition.
A chance to improve your skills in sketching and painting on your iPad or Android tablet with a focus on composition, use of negative space, translucent layering and colour blocks.
Please bring your own fully charged tablet with the 'Tayasui Sketches II' app downloaded, installed and ready to use.
Come and use acrylics for the first time.
This rewarding medium can help you generate artistic images without worrying too much about expense, technique or discipline. You will examine famous artists to uncover secrets and have the chance to develop your own personal style.
Work with master printmaker Mary Dalton to produce your own unique set of lino-printed greeting cards.
Mary will work with each student to create their own imagery and mix their own colours to make a truly special set of cards.
Practise simple weaving techniques with natural willow to create a garden obelisk, a fish, an open platter, or a wreath to decorate with shells.
All materials and equipment will be provided, but please bring along gardening gloves and secateurs if possible.
