Workshops for Adults
Each week during term time we offer a selection of visual art workshops for adults where you can enjoy tuition from professionals in a relaxed environment.

You can book workshops in two blocks of six weeks each. To secure your place for the full term, please book both blocks in advance.

Are you passionate about life drawing? Join Jules in this great opportunity to practise and develop your life drawing techniques and style. In this workshop, you will have the chance to experiment with mark-making and media. If you love drawing, you won’t want to miss this!
Delve into the wonderful world of drawing in this course covering all the basics. You will have the chance to explore shape and form, and then use shade and tone to create a realistic image. You will also be able to experiment with marks and a variety of media, looking at composition and still life.
This class is aimed at those who have either completed Drawing Essentials or have a little more confidence and wish to develop their work and techniques. By experimenting with media and exploring a variety of artists you will be encouraged to try new approaches to a range of subject matter. Whether it is practicing your observational skills or discovering a new style of work, come and try something new.

Explore the exciting potential of pastel painting and the range of techniques and styles it encompasses in a fun and informative environment. Join Robyn for a great chance to develop your pastel skills across a wide variety of subjects and themes.
Start your watercolour journey in this introduction to this expressive medium. Get to grips with fundamentals of paint, water and paper and develop your understanding of the wonderful opportunities watercolour offers as well as the limitations of this expressive medium.
Please note: there is no class on Saturday 10 November and the last class for Saturday participants is 15 December, not 8 December.
This class is aimed at those with a little more confidence who are looking to develop their work. Stretch your skills and refine your watercolour style through analysis and experimentation. Take a look at your work with a slightly different perspective, try something new and step outside your comfort zone – you’ll find some surprising results…
On Thursday mornings during term time we open up the Art Space for anyone who would like the chance to come and use our materials and equipment for free. A great way to find out if art activities are for you!
