Forget-Me-Not Cinema: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Tickets: £4.50 including a tea or coffee
Forget-Me-Not Cinema is a series of relaxed and friendly screenings of classic films and musicals that are particularly suitable for people living with dementia, their partners and family members, as well as people who care for them. Sit back and enjoy!
Set on the campus of a small New England college, the film focuses on the volatile relationship of a middle-aged couple: associate history professor George (Richard Burton) and his hard-drinking wife Martha (Elizabeth Taylor), the daughter of the college president.
The couple invite ambitious new biology professor Nick (George Segal) and his "mousy" wife Honey (Sandy Dennis) to their house for a nightcap. The nightcap turns into an all-night drinking party in which George and Martha brutalise each other emotionally and draw the younger couple into their vitriolic games.
Starring: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, George Segal
