Online Film Club: Citizen Kane

Discussion led by Professor Sue Harper 1st July

Our online film club is free but please consider making a donation to help support The Spring while we are closed.

We will send an invitation to a Zoom call ahead of the event.

Our new online film club is a chance to connect and chat about some great or classic films.

Hosted on Zoom each discussion will be led by a film expert or fan and will be an opportunity to explore the storylines, approach and filmic styles in more detail.

The online film club is hosted by The Spring on Zoom. Simply book your free ticket online and we will send you a link to join the conversation. The group is open to those aged 18 and above.

Tonight Professor Sue Harper, Emeritus Professor of Film History, will host a discussion about Citizen Kane. Made in 1941, Citizen Kane is often hailed as the greatest film ever made. Starring Orson Welles it’s the story of a media mogul and the meaning of his final words.
