Online Film Review: Detroit

Led by Steve Murray 18th November

Our online film review group is a chance to connect and chat about some great or classic films. Hosted on Zoom each discussion will be led by a film expert or fan and will be an opportunity to explore the storylines, approach and filmic styles in more detail.

The online film club is hosted by The Spring on Zoom. Simply book your free ticket at least 24 hours in advance online and we will send you a link to join the conversation. The group is open to those aged 18 and above.

Tonight Steve Murray will lead a discussion on Detroit. Inspired by the 1967 Detroit riots the film examines disturbing police brutality and civil unrest.  It is directed by Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty).

Watch the film for free, in advance of the discussion, at: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000npbn
Please note, the film is only available on iPlayer until 16 November.

Taking part in the Online Film Review is free but please consider leaving a donation as at the end of the online booking process.

This event will take place via Zoom and the link will be emailed to all participants the day before the event.
