In the Langstone Room

In this talk Dr Amanda Richardson, lecturer at Chichester University, will trace the history of deer parks from the 16th to early 18th century, exploring how the parks and fallow deer within them played a key part in English national identity. Our local area is still home to many deer, including Petworth Park which has a herd of over 900 fallow deer.
