Dr Annie Gray: A Cake History
25th FebruaryFood historian Annie Gray retunes to The Spring with a heritage talk all about one of our favourite foods – cake! Explore the history of England seen through a veil of sweet cake crumbs.
Dr Annie Gray is one of Britain's leading food historians. She is a writer, broadcaster and consultant, advising both on the history of food and dining, and the people and spaces associated with food. She's been a panellist on BBC Radio 4's The Kitchen Cabinet since its inception in 2012 and appears regularly on TV. She is the author of several books including The Greedy Queen: Eating with Victoria, Victory in the Kitchen: the life of Churchill's Cook and The Official Downton Abbey Cookbook.
Tier 2 regulations mean that only groups for the same household or support bubble can visit The Spring together.
Social distancing in our theatre means capacity is limited and some households may have to sit apart. Please only book seats together when you fill the number of seats available in that group.
