The Secret History of Stansted House EstateTalk by Mark Seaman
Mark will be speaking about the discoveries made at Stansted by the Secrets of the High Woods project by the South Downs National Park. This project used ground-breaking LiDAR technology to reveal hidden features including WW2 secret resistance shelters, formal gardens from the 18th century and ancient field systems
and settlements. Mark will also touch on the development of the Stansted Estate.
Mark has a degree in Natural Sciences and is involved in a number of archaeological projects, which besides Stansted, include investigation of Roman and medieval remains at Idsworth and prehistoric remains on Thorney Island.
