Pullitzer prizewinner, Elisabeth Strout, continues the life of Olive Kitteridge in ‘Olive, Again’. Prickly, wry and ruthlessly honest, Olive is a ‘compelling life force.’ The thirteen interconnected stories explore grief, loneliness and family torments with formidable insight. Other people living in the same town are examined with humour and compassion. You do not need to have read the first novel to enjoy this one, but you may well want to do so afterwards. Gladys West will lead the discussion.
