Friday 9 December, 8pm
Ride in to a night of classic Northern soul, ska and mod music at The Spring with our very special guests, The Lambrettas.
The Lambrettas rose to fame during the late 70s mod revival - their first gig was on Hastings Pier, before being signed to Elton John’s record label just a few months later, and then releasing their first single Go Steady.
Their success continued with their singles Poison Ivy and Da-a-nce, and their album Beat Boys in the Jet Age. After 8 singles and 2 albums, the band called it a day. But, fast forward to 2009, when the band decided to reform and, with a change in lineup, have been in demand ever since!
So get out your button-downs, sta-prest, tonics, loafers and parkas and get down to The Spring. As well as the band there’ll be music on the turntables and some pretty smart scooters!
Doug Sanders, Paul Wincer, Phil Edwards, Ant Wellman, Helen Kane, Dan Rehan and Mark Mansell
Seated and standing tickets are available.
