Award winning theatre maker and storyteller James Rowland comes to The Spring with a hilarious trio of performances, inspired by his own experiences. Featuring live music, heartache, belly-laughs and lots and lots of words, expect three hilarious, heart-lifting stories of romance, despair and friendship.

James is one of the UK’s most acclaimed storytellers. He last visited The Spring in 2017, performing in Paine Plough’s Every Brilliant Thing.

This is the remarkable, hilarious and heart-lifting story of how James, with help from friends Sarah and Emma, actually gave his best mate the send-off he wanted.

Three years ago, James met the love of his life. A year ago, they broke up. This is James’ story of falling in love and landing broken-hearted. It’s about how he was best man at Sarah and Emma’s wedding and above all it’s about a quest: to find the right words to make sense of love.
