In 1926, Caroline Crale is convicted of murdering her husband and dies in prison three years later. In 1942, her daughter Carla receives a letter from her late mother claiming innocence. Determined to uncover the truth, Carla enlists the help of the solicitor’s son who defended her mother. If Caroline was innocent, someone else in the house must be guilty.
