Life Drawing Essentials: Spring 2025

Come and learn the time-honoured tradition of drawing from the human figure during our 12-week course. Covering all the fundamental aspects of drawing such as line, tone, composition, perspective and proportions. Life drawing is great for improving your observational skills and hand-eye coordination.

Classes are with nude female and male models, drawing timed poses and with guidance, tips and demos given. These classes are for all abilities, whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced artist or somewhere in between. Come along for some weekly drawing therapy at these relaxed and friendly sessions.

Our adult workshops are open to participants aged 18 and over.

About the tutor:

Livvy Stainer is a Hampshire-based artist and tutor specialising in portraiture and figure painting. With 30 years of professional experience, she trained at Heatherley’s School of Art in London.

She has been teaching adult art classes for the past 10 years, sharing her knowledge and passion in a welcoming and accessible environment. Her classes focus on building confidence and helping students develop their individual style.

Workshop dates:
Term one begins on Friday 10th January with a one week break on Friday 21st February.
Term two begins on Friday 28th February and finishes on Friday 4th April.

The sessions last for 2 hours, starting at 1pm-3pm.
