The Farmer and The Clown

Tuesday 1st – Friday 4th April, 3:45pm, £3-£7

Join us at The Spring and Havant Libraries for a special after school performance of The Farmer and The Clown. A magical, wordless stage adaptation of Marla Frazee’s beloved picture book—perfect for families!

An old hard-working farmer lives alone. One day, a baby clown accidentally bounces off a passing circus train and is separated from his family and friends. Unsure what to do, the farmer takes the clown home. As time passes, they discover that by being with each other, they find something new in themselves. Can a friendship span the generations? Can old dogs learn new tricks? Can the young clown find its way home?

This fully accessible, wordless performance means that everyone can enjoy the story—regardless of age, language, or hearing ability. With its universal themes of kindness, connection, and understanding, it’s the perfect introduction to theatre for young audiences and a joyful experience for the whole family.

…a beautiful, simple, and charming piece of theatre, suitable for all. – Bristol 24/7
