We offer a range of fantastic, flexible and inspiring spaces to hire in the heart of Havant.

The Spring is a welcoming and comfortable environment, whatever your need, and we are fully accessible by public transport and car, with an adjacent public car park.

Our rooms are bright and airy creative spaces that businesses, community groups and individuals can hire for meetings, conferences, family events, private views, fairs, workshops, dance schools and parties.

Hirers benefit from in-house catering, technical support and wifi throughout the building.

We offer charities a discounted rate and we offer 10% off bookings of 10 or more dates.

Theatre

Our theatre has a seated capacity of 137 or 147.

Alternatively you can choose a seated and standing layout for up to 222.

We host anything from contemporary theatre, dance, community performances and film screenings to dance schools, conferences and rock gigs in our professional black box theatre space.

We always work with our theatre hirers to make sure that you and your audience have the best experience possible. We provide full front of house staffing for every event and technical support.

Two dressing rooms are available for use, one equipped with en-suite WC and shower and a fridge.

The cost of theatre hire varies and depends on the time of year, day of the week and length of booking. Please drop us an email for a full quote.

The Harrison Room

The Harrison Room is an ideal space to hire for lectures, talks, films, classes and presentations as well as rehearsals, parties and workshops.

The room is situated on the first floor and has stair lift access.

The Harrison room seats up to 50 theatre style and has a projector, screen and PA ready to go.

The Saltings

The Saltings Room is a large workshop and informal rehearsal space located on the ground floor of The Spring, adjacent to the theatre, ideal for classes, workshops, parties, rehearsals, and also useful as additional green room space for theatre hires.

It can comfortably fit up to 25 people for an activity or 50 theatre-style.

The room has a sprung wooden dance floor.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room is a smart meeting space located adjacent to our museum.

It is also the home of the hand-painted Royal Doulton tiles that used to decorate the walls of Havant War Memorial Hospital. With original features and large windows this space makes a great meeting room or smaller workshop space

Seating up to 16 people, the room has wifi and a screen to connect a laptop.

A well-lit gallery space with high, vaulted ceilings and white walls displaying an array of framed black-and-white artwork. The floor has a wooden finish, and track lighting highlights the art pieces. A white column and a small adjustable stand are visible in the room, adding to the minimalist design. The overall atmosphere is clean and modern, ideal for exhibitions.

The Mezzanine Gallery

Although usually open to the public it is possible to hire this delightful gallery space for talks, meetings and special events.

If you want to inspire your guests or colleagues by meeting in a space surrounded by beautiful exhibition displays this could be what you’re looking for!

The Museum

Our museum is the perfect location for many unique events – how about a business networking reception, book launch or drinks party?

You can learn about Havant’s history in a relaxed environment while making those all-important contacts!

A bright and open play foyer space with tables and chairs positioned around the room. The floor is a teal carpet and the walls are white. It is a comfortable space with artworks hung up on the walls.

Foyer Space

Our fully licensed café bar is a comfortable space with an excellent range of seating areas, including sofas, café tables and open space for mingling.

This is a perfect space for parties, events and cabaret-style gigs. Technical and front of house support is available if required.

The Research Room

Why not hire The Research room for talks, meetings and special events. If you want to inspire your guests by meeting in a space surrounded by research materials this could be what you’re looking for!

This room, which is ideal for 8 people, is located on a lower floor, and has steps with a stair lift, and wheelchair access from an external door.
