Heritage Walk: Butser Hill: The History of Pre-history
Tickets: £7
Back by popular demand, we’re back with a new season of heritage walks!
The aim of each walk is to identify evidence of human activity in the landscape and think about what this might tell us about the past. Our guide, Nigel Brown, will help reveal features and suggest interpretations, focussing each week on a broad theme or topic.
Walk starts at 10:30am and last around 1.5 to 2 hours. Open to all and requiring just a modicum of fitness. Tickets are just £7 and will need to be purchased ahead of the walk.
We ask that no dogs, apart from assistance dogs, are brought along on the walk please.
Butser Hill: The history of Pre-history
Tuesday 17th & Saturday 21st June
How do archaeologists work out what happened before written records? As we walk around Butser Hill we will look at past and present techniques and theories relating to pre-history and explore how the present can influence the past.
