Havant Light Opera presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience”, a tale of faddish fandom and fickle fancy.

The comic opera follows Patience, a milkmaid and two poets, Bunthorne and Grosvenor, who compete for her affection. Although originally written as a satire on the aesthetic movement of the 1880s, it is still relevant today as a social commentary of the 21st century.

A mix of rural simplicity, military bluster and poetic romance, the witty dialogue and memorable tunes combine to charm and delight audiences of all ages.
