Drawing Essentials: Spring 2025

Drawing is the necessary beginning of everything in art” and an essential foundation for the artistic process.

This complete 12-week course in drawing is suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists. From still life to scenes, from animals to people sketching and (occasionally) drawing from a live model, we’ll be looking at the fundamental elements that make up drawing such as line, form, light and tone, composition, negative space, and proportion.

Working in all drawing mediums with tried and tested exercises to help you learn to really ‘see’ and draw intuitively and convincingly.

Our adult workshops are open to participants aged 18 and over.
