In 1950s London, a widowed cleaning lady falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, deciding she must have one. She embarks on an adventure to Paris that will change not only her own outlook — but the very future of the House of Dior.
Directed and produced by Anthony Fabian, the film is based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Carroll Cartwright, Keith Thompson, and Olivia Hetreed. It is an adaptation of Paul Gallico’s 1958 novel Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris and received a British Independent Film Award in 2022.
