'Almost Big Band' are members of a Jazz Workshop based in Emsworth originated by the late trumpeter Mike Birch. Mike bequeathed the leadership to trumpeter Don Richards who sadly passed away in January. The repertoire is an eclectic mix of jazz swing, ballads, blues and latin numbers. The membership is also an eclectic mix but functions as a band under the leadership of keyboardist Tony Pegler, with vocalist John Gleadall.
